Our life starts at birth and ends up in eternity. If we set the wrong course for this ‘journey‘, while we’re here on earth, we’re going to end up at a terrible destination. Is there something gnawing away inside you now? A fear – some kind of wrongdoing – perhaps an extra-marital affair – a lie – cheating at work – or just that you know that you’re guilty before God? If you don’t put these things right in your life now you face dealing with a holy God about them sooner than you think. He’s a judge who can’t be bought, and He’s announced He’s going to hear your case in His court. Is it as hopeless for you as it seems? No, there’s a way of escape. You can unload all the burdens of your life; all the guilt you can‘t deal with yourself. Jesus Christ, the Son of God implores you in His word,
“Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (The Bible NKJV – Matthew ch. 11 v. 28).
Yes, He gives real inner liberation and a fulfilled life. The Bible tells us how this can happen:
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”
(The Bible NKJV – 1 John ch. 1 v. 9).
The judgment of God, which we deserve because of our sins, fell on Jesus Christ on the cross. Come in faith to Him, just as you are. Pray to Him, telling Him everything that’s wrong in your life. Turn to Him and give Him thanks for His love. That’s how you can find forgiveness for your sins and peace with God. You don‘t have to observe rules or religious ceremonies to do this. Jesus Christ always has time to listen to you wherever you are! Once you’ve taken this step, you’ll find that you have someone to help you in all the storms of your life. Continue your journey with His support – this will guarantee a happy and safe arrival at your heavenly destination in the presence of God. Please take time to think about the most important journey of all: the journey of life, and eternity that follows it. Read the Bible. This is God’s Word, in which He gives you answers to all the questions of your life. He says,
“I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (The Bible NKJV – John ch. 10 v. 10).
