The Tape Recorder Trick

A friend of mine is a musician and so he is able to play various instruments. With his tape recorder he performs a very interesting trick.
He told me: "First I take my oboe and have the soprano recorded. Then on the same tape I record the alto without having erased the first. In this way I add one instrument upon another down to the deepest bass.
Now there are eight instruments recorded on this tape. Do want to hear the result?

Then I heard a well performing orchestra. I did not really understand yet and asked: "Which orchestra is this?" My friend laughed and said: "That's me quite alone!" It was great, a complete orchestra, consisting of only one person playing on various instruments at one time.
"Listen, my friend said, "I know Of somebody who succeeded in recording 30 instruments on one tape.
That was a complete symphony played on many instruments, but performed by one musician only.
This artist blew his breath into the many different instruments.
Exactly so with the Bible! It was written by 40 different writers, 40 instruments, but all were animated by the great Artist, God Himself. He blew His breath as an animating spirit into each of those 40 instruments.

This is the MIRACLE of the Bible.

It is not the voice of men, but the voice of God Himself.

Could any address be more correct?
No, this is much more personal than the best address. This is not the address for your external being but for your heart.

Your Family Name and Your Personal Name:
The Bible calls you:
Sinner (Romans 5 vers 8). You are judged as a sinner. All the world has become guilty before God (Romans chapter 3 verses 9-12). From within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, thefts, covetousness etc. (Mark chapter 7).

Do these things have to be mentioned more precisely yet? That is almost impossible! But that is your name, the name of your heart.

The Judge 's Sentence

Is this letter of God, then, a sentence of judgment? Yes, indeed! It is terrible, but true. He knows all the wickedness that you have committed. Because of all your sins you are sentenced to prison and God's prison is the fire that will never be extinguished. Just think for a moment, how awful it is!
Do you understand that you have deserved this? But for one who honestly wants to confess, "I am lost and guilty before God," there is good news.

Grace and Acquittal

Christ was crucified, put to death, murdered by men. But while the Son of God was hanging on the cross, He was punished by God.
Was He guilty? No, absolutely not! He was spotless and pure! Why, then, was He forsaken by God? Why did He have to die? He had to do it in order to save you. The LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
"The chastisement for our peace was upon Him" (Isaiah chapter 53).
