A Letter for you

That's nice, here's a letter for You today. And it's a big one, so big that it's impossible for you to finish reading it today.
It's especially addressed to you and comes from abroad, from very far away.
From China or Australia?
From much farther.
From the stratosphere?
From much farther yet.
From the Moon or Mars or Venus or even from the Pole Star?
Farther yet!
Well , where does Your letter come from?
It comes from a country where it is never night, where there is no need for doctors, hospitals or cemeteries, where an eternal feast is being celebrated.

This letter comes from the heavenly country. And from what City?
From heavenly Jerusalem. What's the name of the street?
The Golden Street. Which house?
The Father's House with many mansions.
Who's the sender?
God, the Almighty.
He knows you, He loves you.
He's taken the trouble to write a long, wonderful letter to you.
He knows exactly where you live and this letter is addressed to you personally.

A Wonderful Letter

Once somebody wrote a twenty Page long letter to me. This was really something, but this letter that you've received has about 1200 pages.
Perhaps you've already understood: This letter is the Bible.
But does the Bible come from heaven?
Yes, indeed, it does.
Now I can hear you saying: "This isn't true, for it was written by men, printed in America or England somewhere and is being sent out by Bible Societies.
That's right. But where does the Bible Society get the Words?
They come from Israel, the Holy Land. That is where the men Who wrote the Bible lived.
Well , then the Bible Comes from Israel and not from Heaven?

An executive is sitting in his office. He dictates a letter to his secretary. She writes down everything her boss says, word for word. An hour later She finishes printing the letter and the executive signs it. Then this letter is mailed.
Now let me ask you:
Who actually wrote this letter, the executive or his secretary?
Someone Who isn't really thinking would Say: "The secretary. "
But any intelligent person would Say: "The executive, since he dictated the letter."
The secretary only wrote what the boss wanted her to write.

Now, look, it's exactly the same with the Bible.
Men who wrote the books of the Bible heard the voice of God while they were writing. So they wrote word for word, yes, each letter God wanted them to write. On account of that, the Bible is truly a letter from God, directed to us and thus to you, too. They recognized God's voice in their hearts and then they wrote.
You might be able to understand this better if you compared it with the playing of a musical instrument.
How are nice melodies produced in a trumpet?
Only, when the musician blows into the instrument.
Similarly, God breathed into the men who were His servants.
God's breath, His voice, was in their hearts, the breath Of His Holy Spirit. And this is how they received the words. The writers of the Bible were permeated by the breath Of God, they were "moved by the Holy Spirit". We a so say: they were inspired (meaning literally: breathed into).
